Dr. Glidden’s Health Recovery Protocol For Those Diagnosed With Cardiomyopathy.

MD Cause: Unknown – probably genetic ;-)

MD Rx: None

ND Cause: In Pre-World War II Germany, medical doctors became aware of a condition called “Athletes’ Heart.” If you remember, the Germans believed that they were the master race. They put a lot of time, energy and research into physical conditioning. They wanted their athletes to be the strongest and fastest in the world. Many of the athletes whom they were experimenting with developed enlarged hearts. The Germans discovered that this was due to two things: extra stress put on the heart by the athletic conditioning and deficiencies in the trace mineral selenium. Cardiomyopathy is a selenium-deficiency syndrome. Please remember that selenium is just one of the 90 Essential Nutrients that the human body needs in order to function optimally. So we don’t just give people with enlarged hearts extra selenium. We give them all of the 90 EN plus extra selenium.

My Rx: In addition to the 90 EN:

  • Ultimate Selenium: 1 bottle per 100 pounds per month, not to exceed 4 bottles per month. The dose is 3 caps per bottle per day between meals. If during the intake of selenium at these dosages you experience fishy or garlicky breath, brittle nails or unusually dry hair then cut the dose in half. For 7 days. If those symptoms persist then fall all the way back to 1 bottle per month.

  • Good Herbs Heart Support: The acute dose as outlined in Attempt A Cure, Part 2, Chapter 5 for 3 months.
