7-Day Detoxification Program

  • 1 Bottle N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine - Get this through Fullscript on this website.

  • 1 Bottle of Sonne’s #7 Detoxification formula.

  • 1 Bottle of Yerba Prima Psyllium Husk Powder. Purchase at a local health food store or online.

  • Two, 32-ounce bottles of Organic, Unfiltered Apple juice.

  • 7 pounds of Epsom salts – if you have a bath tub only.

7-DAY PROTOCOL

Days 1 & 2:

  • Only consume soup, organic fruits and veggies (and/or fruit & veggie juice – fresh squeezed), juice, and water.

  • 90 EN appropriate for body weight;

  • Good Herbs Kidney & Bladder Support: 1 teaspoon 3 times daily;

  • Herbal Rainforest: if 100-150 pounds take 1 ounce before bed. If 150-200 pounds take 2 ounces before bed. If over 250 pounds take 3 ounces before bed.

  • N-Acetyl-L-Custeine: 2 caps 3 times daily. If you weigh less than 125 pounds, then take 1 cap 3 times daily.

  • Psyllium Husk Powder – from the Health Food Store. I prefer the one made by “Yerba Prima.” Make sure it is the POWDER in a canister, not Psyllium Husks in capsules. Immediately before bed, put 1 heaping tablespoon into 8 ounces of Organic, Unfiltered Apple Juice. Stir it up and drink it all down within 5 minutes. Then follow it with 8 ounces of fresh water. Drink this down about 15 minutes after you drink the Herbal Rainforest.

 

Days 3, 4, 5:

  • No Solid Food at all. Only drink water and fresh squeezed organic fruit/veggie juice.

  • 90 EN appropriate for body weight

  • Good Herbs Kidney & Bladder Support: 1 teaspoon 3 times daily

  • Herbal Rainforest: if 100-150 pounds take 1 ounce before bed. If 150-200 pounds take 2 ounces before bed. If over 250 pounds take 3 ounces before bed.

Get colonic treatments on days 1,3,5,7. If possible continue with the colonic treatments on days 9, 11, 13, 15 after the detox is over.

Schedule a massage on the days you are not getting colonics. (Days 2,4,6, of the program). This is optional.

An Epsom-salts bath is a really good addition to the program. Fill a tub with hot water and 1 pound of Epsom salts. Soak in it for about 20 minutes after the Herbal Rainforest drink and before the Apple-juice cocktail each night of the program.

 

After day 7, you can finish the Sonne’s # 7 by taking 1 tablespoon 2x daily in with your 90 EN blender drinks.

You can finish the Good Herbs Kidney & Bladder Support by taking 1 teaspoon daily until it’s empty.

You can finish the N-Acetyl=L-Cysteine by taking 1 cap twice daily.

STOP taking the Psyllium Husks and the Herbal Rainforest after day 7.

 

What to Expect

 Your bowel movements in the mornings will be HUGE. This is due to the Psyllium husk powder. It bulks up the stool. You may have a great deal of energy. You may just want to sleep a lot. It is advisable to do this program when you don’t have to work. I myself have done it while holding down a regular job – but it was not easy. You may have mood swings as your body deals with the detox and with the limited calories each day. You may get night-sweats and/or experience the return of old symptoms. You should maintain the discipline of the program if you develop these symptoms as they are usually fleeting. If any symptoms are persisting after 3 days, then STOP the program and consult a wholistic physician. You may be surprised at what comes out of your body during the colon-hydrotherapy sessions (or the night after them). Remember our mottos: “Better out than in!” & “Death Begins In The Colon!” Generally speaking, after the program is over most people feel a greater sense of well-being, more energy and a better response to the nutritional program they are taking.

 

Fasting

 For most people, the longest amount of time that they go without eating in the 24 hours of the day is while they are asleep. This is why the first meal of the day is called break-fast. When you eat the first meal of the day you are breaking your overnight fast. There is only so much energy that is available to the body at any moment in time. When we are awake, the body has to give the brain energy, the heart energy, the muscles energy, the digestive tract energy, etc. When we go to sleep at night all of the physical and mental processes of the body slow down a tremendous amount, and there is an abundance of energy left over. The body uses the left-over energy that is available to it at night while you're sleeping for self-repair and healing. This is also one of the reasons why when you get sick with something (flu, head-cold, allergies, sore-throat, etc.) you become sleepy. When you are asleep your body uses the majority of its energy for self-repair and healing. During waking hours, a great deal of the body's energy is allocated towards the digestion and assimilation of the food that you have just consumed. When you stop eating, the body has more energy available to it that it can use however it sees fit. Regular periods of fasting are an interesting and important discipline for health optimization and longevity. There have been numerous studies done with animals which have unequivocally proven that the fewer calories the animal consumes the longer it lives – and the healthier it becomes. Likewise, studies of the longest-lived indigenous people on planet Earth also show correlation between limited calorie intake and longevity. From a practical point of view this only makes sense. The less that you eat, the less there is to digest, the less there is to digest the more energy the body has – which it can use for self-repair and healing. It is an interesting thing to think about but when you have given your body all of the essential nutrients that it needs with the 90 EN the only thing that you need food for are: calories to burn for energy. So – once you have eliminated the 12 bad foods from your diet, and you have filled up your body's nutritional tank with the 90 EN, your body will benefit greatly from regular periods of fasting.

There are two ways to go about fasting. Fast for one day a week, fast for three consecutive days a month, or do both. The one day a week fast seems to be the easiest for people to accomplish. On the days that you fast I still want you to take your nutritional supplements. You may have the curious experiences on the days that you don't eat that you have more energy than you anticipated, and that your mind is clearer than it normally is. From time to time on the day that you fast you may also become sleepier than usual. Whatever happens, just follow your bodies lead. If you feel like napping on the day that you are fasting, then take a nap. If you feel energized and want to do some physical activity, then go for it. I would recommend against doing anything overly exertional during the fasting days. I would not ride your trail bike for 10 miles in the mountains. I would not recommend that you play 18 holes of golf, attend a Jazzercise class, or go for a 5-mile run. Just follow your bodies lead and see what happens. After the third or fourth time that you fast you will probably start looking forward to the days when you are not eating.
