Healthy recovery Protocol

What to do to attempt to make yourself healthy if you have been diagnosed with:

Ezcema

Eczema

MD Cause: Unknown – probably genetic ;-)

MD Rx: Topical corticosteroids.

ND Cause: Wheat allergy; Omega-3 EFA deficiency; a weak Fire-Department of the body.[1]

Discussion: One of the easiest things to treat and naturopathic medicine as far as I’m concerned is eczema – especially childhood eczema. Usually all that is necessary is to eliminate wheat completely supplement with the 90 essential nutrients and give extra essential fatty acid supplementation. The condition usually clears up within four weeks. In adults it is a little trickier and often in addition to the medical nutrition and the dietary discipline, colon hydrotherapy is necessary.

My Rx: In addition to the 90 EN:

·     Selenium: 1 bottle per 100 pounds per month. Do not get more than 4 bottles per month, regardless of your weight. The dose is 3 caps per bottle per day between meals. If during the intake of selenium at these dosages you experience fishy or garlicky breath, brittle nails or unusually dry hair then cut the dose in half. For 7 days. If those symptoms persist then fall all the way back to 1 bottle per month.

·      Projoba Omega: 1 bottle per 50 pounds per month until the eczema resolves, then go to the maintenance dose of 1 bottle per 100 pounds per month.

Homeopathy:

·     Rhus toxicodendron: the eczema resembles poison ivy, it is weepy and intensely itchy. The itch is temporarily relieved by local applications of very hot water.

·     Sulphur: Red and itchy. Burning pains. Itch and rash are much worse after bathing and after the body gets warm – especially in the middle of the night during sleep (from the heat of the body under the covers).
