Health Recovery Protocol

What to do to attempt to make yourself healthy if you have been diagnosed with:

Interstitial Cystitis

Dr. Glidden’s Health Recovery Protocol For Those Diagnosed With Interstitial Cystitis.

MD Cause:  Unknown

MD Rx:  Drugs to manage the symptoms.

ND Cause: Copper deficiencies, chronic infections due to a weakened immune system.

Discussion: The bladder, like any other part of the body, needs nutrients to be healthy. The bladder is one of the most elastic structures in the body. It expands and contracts like a balloon when it receives urine from the kidneys and when urine is excreted from it during urination. If the body has run out of the raw materials that it needs to keep elastic tissues elastic than all kinds of trouble begins. One of the main nutrients necessary for the body to keep tissues elastic is copper. Therefore, in addition to the 90 essential nutrients, we give extra copper when anyone is suffering from Interstitial Cystitis. It is interesting to note that large doses of vitamin C will waste copper from the body, causing a copper deficiency. One of the first things to consider with anyone suffering from interstitial cystitis is: Have they been taking large doses of vitamin C for a long period of time? If after a few months of this strategy there is no change, then we consider the possibility of a chronic infection being involved, and we deliver immune support treatments which include Argentyn 23, and Good Herbs products.

My Rx: In addition to the 90 EN:

  • Imortalium: 1 bottle per 100 pounds per month. Take in divided doses between meals if possible.

  • Plant Derived Minerals: 1 bottle per 100 pounds per month. 1 ounce per bottle per day.

  • i26 (31 Day supply canister): 1 per 100 pounds per month. 1 scoop per day per can mixed with water, juice or the BTT cocktail.

Immune Support– If Necessary:

  • Argentyn 23: Take 1 teaspoon orally 5 times daily until better. After 2 weeks, fall back to 1 teaspoon 3 times daily.

  • Good Herbs Antimicrobial Support: Acute dose as outlined in my book Attempt A Cure, Part 2, Chapter 6.
