What to do to attempt to make yourself healthy if you have been diagnosed with:

Mitral Valve Prolapse

Dr. Glidden’s Health Recovery Protocol For Those Diagnosed With Mitral Valve Prolapse.

MD Cause:  Unknown

MD Rx: Watchful waiting. If symptoms worsen, then surgery to install artificial valves or valves from pig’s hearts is advised.

ND Cause:  Nutrient deficiencies which make the cartilage in the valves of the heart week and to stretchy.

Discussion: The heart has 4 valves. The mitral valve is the valve that helps the heart get ready to pump blood to the entire body. Many people can have a floppy mitral valve and live a long and productive life with no complications. Sometimes when a person has a mitral valve prolapse, one of the chambers of the heart starts to become enlarged and/or the heart function itself starts to become funky. Medical doctors just assume that the enlargement of the heart is due to the mitral valve prolapse, but many people who have a mitral valve prolapse do not get an enlarged heart and live long and productive lives without any extra heart trouble at all. Medical science explains these inconsistencies away by falling back on its favorite 21st century stalking horse: genetics. Those people with mitral valve prolapse who go on to develop other heart pathology must do so because they have bad genes. Or so the logic goes. We disagree. Why on earth doesn’t anyone ask the simple question: Why would the heart valve get floppy in the first place? We argue that the valve gets floppy because of nutrient deficiencies which have been going on since the person was a fetus in its mother’s womb.

So then, the strategy here is to give the body the foundation 90 Essential Nutrients plus extra “healthy cartilage nutrients,” because cartilage is what the mitral valve is made of. We also want to make sure that the heart itself has all of the nutrients that it needs to optimize its structure and function so that nothing bad happens to it with the passage of time.
