What to do to attempt to make yourself healthy if you have been diagnosed with:

Shingles

Dr. Glidden’s Health Recovery Protocol For Those Diagnosed With Shingles.

MD Cause:  An infection by the Herpes virus.

MD Rx:  Antiviral meds – and Lots of them!

ND Cause: A weakened Immune System which allowed the virus to express itself. B- Vitamin deficiencies and psychological stress are also factors.

Discussion: Apparently, we all have a variant of the herpes/chickenpox virus in our bodies. Ever since we came down with chickenpox or got herpes from someone the virus has been hiding itself away inside the body in a dormant state. All of a sudden, for no reason that science is aware of, the virus decides to express itself - and voilà you get an outbreak of Shingles. It should interest you to know that compared to the general population, Shingles outbreaks occur twice as much in people over 60. Inquiring minds would like to know why. Medical doctors have no intention of discovering the mechanism which causes this to happen. Instead, they are 100% focused on giving people vaccinations to prevent it from happening. Because you can’t prove a negative, it is impossible to tell how effective the vaccination is or will be. Nonetheless, this is where all of the research money is going.

While we are on the subject, we should talk a little bit about viruses. A virus is neither alive nor dead. Did you know that? Microbiologists consider viruses as organisms “On the edge of life.” Viruses defy convention and explanation. A virus can remain dormant on a tabletop for thousands of years. When, by happenstance, the virus enters into a living biological system, all of a sudden it wakes up and starts to do things. Viruses have the nasty habit of sneaking into healthy cells of their host organism for the express purpose of reproducing themselves. This process invariably destroys the host cell which the virus has invaded, and it continues like a chain reaction - often until the host organism is destroyed. What gives!? It is difficult to kill something which is neither alive nor dead. This is why allopathic medicine has such a difficult time treating viral infections. The best that they can do is to manage them - which should come as no surprise, as this is their standard operating procedure for most illnesses. Kind of makes you want to just run outside and scream, doesn’t it?[1]

One thing that we have noticed is that when people are under a significant amount of psychological stress, they tend to experience an outbreak of shingles. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that the older we get the more under Neutral find our bodies become. This is the presumptive reason why shingles appears much more frequently in older than younger people. Psychological stress burns through your B vitamin stores so taking lots of B vitamins either preventively when you are experiencing psychological stress or once the shingles has expressed itself is not a bad idea.  Argentyn 23 has documented antiviral activity, so we use it topically to attempt to kill the not-dead-not-alive[2]virus.

My Rx– In addition to the 90 EN:

  • Argentyn 23: Spray onto the area of the outbreak every 3 hours while awake.

  • Biometics Bio-Fuel(for B-Vitamins): 1 bottle per 100 pounds per month. 1 Tablespoon per bottle per day.

  • Good Herbs Super Olive Health: Acute dosage outlined in Part 2, Chapter 6 in my book Attempt A Cure.

  • Cell Shield RTQ: 1 bottle per 75 pounds per month. Take in 2-3 divided doses with meals each day.

Homeopathy:

  • Mezereum: The bright red eruptions have intense burning and itch tremendously. The pain is worse from heat and better by cold applications. The person is chilly.

  • Ranunculus bulbosus: Intensely itching shingles on the ribcage (either on the back or chest), which are very sore, and worse from contact with clothing or any kind of touch. The blisters may look bluish.

  • Rhus toxicodendron: The rash begins with many small blisters, is red and intensely itchy, and is relieved by hot baths or hot wet compresses. Restlessness makes the person want to pace the room or constantly move around.
