Good morning from snowy Maine! What can we do to make taking homeopathic medications more effective? I've heard that coffee and alcohol can negate the effects. Is this true? What is the ideal way to take them? Thank you!

Betsy Asks: An old fashioned country doctor used to examine eyes, tongue and other outward signs like dry skin and fingernails to determine the patient's ailment. Is that something a Naturopathic Physician does today? Do you have any book recommendations that cover signs that your body is telling you something? Thanks and have a good weekend!

Hi Dr. Glidden, I don’t have an official diagnosis (since I try to avoid allopathic doctors), so I’m left with trying to self diagnose a condition I’ve had. The closest approximation I can come up with is maybe something like a “left side ulcerative colitis.” It’s like a stuffed up feeling at the base of my left front rib cage, and I can also feel a sensation of it straight back from my left front to my left back lower rib cage. It’s rarely painful, but once in a while I can get cramps there after a large meal. The only thing I’ve found that gives it relief is Dr. Daniels turpentine protocol, using her vitality capsules (which are laxatives) during the protocol. Just wondering what this condition sounds like to you. I’ve had it for years. It varies from time to time, but never really gets worse or better over the long run.

Hi Dr. G. I'm wondering if Medical nutrition is enough to fix misaligned knee joints(bow legged) Her allopathic recomends braces .She's on bone and joint but weighs 240 and can only afford the 100 lb, dosage. Has been on it for 9 months and joints have greatly improved. Would braces be helpful and also would chiropractor help this? Thanks.

Casey in Utah, What would you say are good blood sugar numbers for a diabetic human or dog (in this case a dog)?,,, my vet said resting blood sugar between 80-120 normal but a diabetic dog should be resting at around 150?. But the vet also said to measure at the midpoint 4-6 hours after feeding for the blood sugar test to be around 250 - 280?…, if the dog is on full Arthydex, 2 selenium every 12 hour feeding, 4 efa’s and 4 sweeteze every 12 hour feeding. Would it be a bad thing to see dogs sugar rise to around 400-450? 6 hours after feeding? As the vet said they would rather it be too high than too low as high would be hyperglycemia. But I’m thinking as long as the full nutrition is there than 400 blood sugar is ok?, I’m also thinking of going to 12 efa’s and sweeteze a day for the time being as I’m also trying to get my 45lb full grown black lab to gain weight because he is under weight and I’m thinking high blood sugar with nutrition is his bodies way of trying to gain weight?

Hi Dr G. It's Dan. How important is bloodwork to determine what's going on in ya? Do MDs have any idea what they're looking at? Is this one of their ways to convince youto take their mandatory advice and prescriptions? My guess is it's a snapshot in time and not a good marker for making rash decisions in treatment, plus I'd rather have you look over bloodwork than an MD.

Hi Dr. Glidden, Millie from S/E WI here...I'm so impressed with how my husband's bruised arm is healing! 2wks ago today we started the Arnica 1M and the color is 95% back to normal. It was totally eggplant purple. The Naja is due today. Should he start that or no? There's some tenderness throughout the forearm. Is that to be expected? Thank you!!!!

I have random pain on the tops of my feet. It's an aching pain, more so on my right foot. Sometimes when I wake it's there, but not always. Happens randomly. Is this neuropathy? My feet don't burn or tingle, just occasional pain on top of feet.

I think I have Sibo. I probably need a Breath test to make sure. Do you know of any practioners in the Chicago area?

I just had eye surgery. I had EDOF lenses implanted. What can I do about dry eyes?

Hello Dr G, John from Nashville. I am working through an injury to the medial meniscus in both knees. I found a good Chiropractor and completed 10 sessions of Dry Needling. Now I’ve been self-massaging and stretching that area over time. Looking at your Health Protocols I zeroed in on this being a cartiledge injury lacking a better match for my knee. I am following the treatment protocol and I am having a hard time with the Gluco-gel. The manganese doesn’t agree with me at the high doses required for a cure. Why would someone have issues with any dose amount of manganese? Any suggestions? Always among your biggest supporters and thank you.

Good morning Dr. Glide, what difference in vitamins is there in the tangy tangerine 2.0 vs. 3.0? I have enjoyed the webinar on eye health.

Does the similar concept apply with the structure of the bone being reduced and the need to add more calcium to strengthen the bones of my body? I had a stroke when I was young and have done many exercises but to no avail my bone structure hasn't been strengthened.

Good morning, Doc! MN Sara here - I have a client who asked me about why oatmeal is bad. Can you explain that for me, please? I need to understand that from a more physiological / technical viewpoint. THANK you!

Unfortunately my internet seems to be pretty slow today because of something apparently going on with my service provider, so I probably won't have much luck interacting with you in real time. I might also need to schedule a consultation time with you -- since I have a few other things going on that might be too much to cover in a live Q&A.

What can I do for an inverted nipple due to surgery? The surgeon suggested massage but if that doesn't work, he would make some tiny cuts to release the nipple from the hardened milk ducts. I am not keen on getting more surgery.

For the blood panel, what do we do if the results of the “Ferritin” and “Platelet Count” are both high? The website only has advice if results are low.

Thank you so Dr. Glidden for the new approach you offer us to medicine and healing. Cami from New Jersey. Thank you so Dr. Glidden for the new approach you offer us to medicine and healing. I understand the phenomenon of hair loss is complex in its causes. This last year I have been following a diet with less animal protein, and more soy protein. However, this EXTREME loss of hair started in the summer coupled with intense stress and I observed another aspect: intense itching of the scalp that accompanies hair loss, even after I wash. Any treatment with oils didn’t help. There is something that you might recommend? Thank you!

I had a full body itch/rash sprout up overnight. I'm wondering if I have a sensitivity to liquid fabric softener. Is there a general homeopathic for this kind of rash? It was pretty intense and I am riddled with scratch marks now. I changed my shirt before bed and a couple hrs later I was awakened and very itchy.

What do you think of Methylene Blue? Just heard it may be a strong anti-oxidant and with help with reducing accumulation of visceral and liver fat. Thanks Dr. G, really appreciate you! And my sincere apologies...I have to leave for an appointment for my mother.

Daughter is 23yrs old and is currently in the uk and is struggling to fly back home to Canada. I have flown out to be with her for 5 weeks now and need help to get her on a plane. Her fear is feeling trapped on a plane for 8 hours, and also the feeling that she will have a panic attack again as that’s what happened to her to get to the uk. Can you help with anything?
