I asked last week about BPH and tamsulosin. Swollen right leg, no pain, redness or heat. Just an annoying fat leg! Goes down some during the night and swells again during the day. I’ve been off of the med for 7 days with not much change. Used the merc sol as directed. What should I expect in the coming days/weeks concerning the leg? Thanks, Ken. Hello Dr Glidden,you recommended a customer who was having tendon issues to add Collagen to her daily intake. She has just rung me to say within 4 days of taking the Collagen the pain is noticeably reduced. She is wondering is that likely – that the Collagen could work so quickly? Another customer has developed a white greasy film all over his face, scalp and behind his ears where it is a sticky fluid and it dries like dandruff. He scrubs it but can’t remove it. He said it seemed to appear around when he started using Bluetooth earphones a lot every day. He changed to Bluetooth ear muff type headphones which caused a big lump to appear in his ear and neck. He is now using bone conduction glasses instead of headphones but the white film is still on his face, scalp and behind ears, but the lumps have disappeared. What are your thoughts please? Another customer has been taking numerous Youngevity products but is asking is there any homeopathics that could help with Erectile Dysfunction. He had Peyronie’s Disease 25 years ago which resulted in loss of size. I’ve read that this disease can cause some psychological effects. He has been married to a younger woman now for about 15 years and had 2 children with her, but she became disinterested in sex after the children came along. Are there any homeopathics that could help address self esteem/psychological issues? Do you know what a safe dosage of Lugols 5% Iodine would be please?

I am a healthy and active 35-year-old woman, and I have been getting migraines since I was in high school. My headaches typically begin as an intense throbbing pain behind one eye, though sometimes the pain occurs behind both eyes. Occasionally, it can feel more like a dull ache behind one eye, but the throbbing migraines are the most common. When they are associated with my menstrual cycle, they often come on during the night, and I wake up with one, especially right before my period. They can also be triggered by going for a run, particularly in the heat, as well as by crying or not getting enough sleep. The pain is usually localized behind one or both eyes. Very little relieves it besides my migraine medication and sleep. Aleve has helped in the past, but it is not as effective anymore. Although I feel nauseous during these headaches, I have never actually thrown up and have never experienced visual auras. When I get these headaches, I usually feel shaky and tired, but I do not notice any other significant symptoms.

Hi Dr G! USA defeated Canada in hockey. Hats off to you. But if we're to become the 51st ... did we win both the gold and the silver? My actual question is that I will be having a rear molar (previous root canal) pulled under IV sedation in a month or two. Do you have any guidance for me? I don't know that the extraction is of much concern ... but the injected sedation makes me wary.

Hi doc. What would recommend for a forearm pain or forearm splint. It is a pain at the back of the forearm. The pain happens when doing an exercise called a planche. This is an exercise where the entire body weight is supported by the arms with the knees tucked under the chest and the body leaning forward. Sort of like a push up but the knees are off the ground and tucked under the chest. This happened to my son who is 24 years old. This is currently happening to my son who is 24 years old. (not happened)

Hi Doc, my blood pressure has been running high for the past few weeks. it was at 170/115 on average month ago. my cardiologist put me on 50mg losartan 2x/day and 25 mg carvedilol 2x/day. got me down to average of 145/95 for past week. would you advise me to go all out on the high pressure protocol along with these meds in hopes that this will move the needle further down and eventually ween myself off them? Greetings, Doc, Long time no see LOL. I’ve noticed a few things recently and would really appreciate your perspective. First, my hands and feet tend to get clammy, especially in strongly air-conditioned rooms. Interestingly, when I wear socks, the sweating decreases and my hands get the tendency to feel dry more quickly and less likely to get sweaty. I’m wondering if this pattern fits any particular homeopathic remedy profile. Second, I’ve been experiencing a mild stinging sensation during and slightly after urination for quite some time now. I’ve already gone through two bottles of KillerBiotics, and while everything otherwise feels normal, there was one instance where I noticed a small trace of blood at the end of urination. Do you have any recommendations on what I should consider next? Lastly, I’m curious about mainstream advice during flu illness. Why is caffeine typically discouraged? Is it mainly due to dehydration, nervous system stimulation, or something else?
